This medication contains digestive enzymes, which are natural substances needed by the body to help break down and digest food. Gestomil Capsule works by breaking the larger proteins into smaller one; helping in the break down of proteins; transforming starch into maltose, which in turn, converts into glucose; increasing the amount of water in the stool; helping in food digestion; replacing the enzymes when the body does not have enough of its own.
