🌿 Nocof Drops – Overview

Form & Composition

• Available in 15 mL bottle with a dropper.

• Contains three active ingredients per mL:

  • Pseudoephedrine HCl (~9.36–10 mg) – nasal decongestant

  • Chlorpheniramine maleate (~1–10 mg) – antihistamine

  • Dextromethorphan HBr (~2.5–3.12 mg) – cough suppressant
    

✅ Uses & Indications

• Relief of symptoms of common colds and allergic rhinitis – runny/stuffy nose, sneeze, throat irritation

• Helps control cough, ease nasal congestion, and manage cold‑related catarrh in infants and children
  

⚠️ Contraindications

Should not be used if the child has:

• Chronic respiratory disorders (asthma, bronchitis)

• Glaucoma

• Respiratory insufficiency or risk of breathing issues
  

🧪 Precautions & Side Effects

• Common side effects: drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, headache, GI upset, urinary retention

• Overdose can cause: excitation, confusion, respiratory depression, heart irregularities
  

• Avoid use with alcohol or other CNS depressants; monitor especially for sedation
  

🕒 Dosage & Administration

• Shake bottle well before use and administer via dropper

• Typical pediatric dosing (example):

  • Up to 3 months: ~0.4 mL every 4–6 h

  • 3–11 months: ~1.0 mL every 4–6 h

• Always follow a doctor’s prescription — timing and dose vary with age and weight
