Flutex Capsule is used to treat depression (major depressive disorder) in adults and children of 8 to 18 years. This medicine works by increasing the level of a natural substance (serotonin) in the brain. Flutex is also used to treat mental illness with uncontrollable thoughts and repetitive behaviors (known as, Obsessive-compulsive disorder) in adults and children 7 to 18 years, to treat serious eating disorder bulimia nervosa), to treat panic disorder, with or without fear of places and situations (agorophobia), and to relieve symptoms of a premenstrual dysphoric disorder including mood swings, bloating, irritability, and breast tenderness.
